GTF2024 Artist-in-Residence Programme

A unique residency programme for artists from any creative discipline! Immerse yourselves in the rich heritage and contemporary heart of George Town, and create works inspired by the culturally vibrant surroundings, responding to GTF 2024’s theme of “Here and Now”.

Criteria:
Active artists (of any genre) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in their professional art career, aged 21 years and above and of any nationality. Artists must be able to work and live independently.

Interview period: 19 – 25 Feb 2024
Results announcement: 29 Feb 2024 – 1 Mar 2024
Residency period: 15 Mar – 15 Jun 2024

Benefits:
Artists will have the golden opportunity to forge meaningful connections with diverse local artists and the local community, and be included in the GTF 2024 programme.

Duration: Artists can stay between 1-3 months.

Outcome:
The selected artists are expected to present their new work or work-in-progress at the end of their stay. The work produced from this residency will be part of the GTF 2024 programme.
