Connections Through Culture (CTC) is an arts grant programme run by the British Council in the UK and East Asia, with the primary objective of supporting exchanges and collaboration between the two regions

$3,500 Artist Grants | All Media Eligible

The Hopper Prize is accepting entries for Spring 2021 artist grants. For this open call, we have increased grants to $3,500. We are offering artist grants in the amount of $3,500 (2 available) and $1,000 (4 available). This is an international open call. All media is eligible. Grant submissions will be juried by Selby Nimrod, Assistant Curator, MIT List Visual Arts Center and María Elena Ortiz, Curator, Pérez Art Museum Miami. Our open call provides you with a direct path to get your work in front of these forward thinking exhibition makers. In addition to grants, 30 artists will be selected for a shortlist. Additional exposure is available via our online Journal as well as our Instagram feed, currently reaching an audience over 55k.

The Hopper Prize

The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for our Fall 2020 artist grants. We are offering 5 grants in the amount of $1,000 USD. This is an international open call. All media is eligible. Grant submissions will be juried by Christine Koppes, Curator & Director of Public Programs, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and Jade Powers, Assistant Curator, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Our open call provides you with a direct path to get your work in front of these forward thinking exhibition makers. In addition to grants, 30 artists will be selected for a shortlist. Additional exposure is available via our online Journal as well as our Instagram feed, currently reaching an audience over 46K.

The Hopper Prize

The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform offering a series of individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis totaling $10,000.00 USD.

Artist Grant

Founded in 2017, Artist Grant is a new venture that aims to fund and support artists. This charitable organization funds the efforts of artists to continue their important work and contributions to society every quarter.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Visual artists 18 and older from anywhere in the world

IN WHAT FIELD?

Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, stills of video/film, sculpture (of any type of material), ceramics, mixed/multiple media, installation, and other new or alternative media.

HOW MUCH?

$500 each grant cycle.

DEADLINE?

There are four grant cycle deadlines per year – January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15.

FINE PRINT: There is an application fee of $25 USD that helps defray the costs of administering this grant so that they may continue to support and fund artists’ important work.

Awesome Foundation Grant

The Awesome Foundation, a micro-granting organization, set up local chapters around the world to provide rolling grants of $1000 to “awesome projects.” Each chapter defines what is “awesome” for their local community, but most include arts initiative and public or social practice art projects.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Anyone is eligible for a grant — individuals, groups, and organizations alike.

IN WHAT FIELD?

Any Field. Each chapter has their own requirements, most consider arts projects.

HOW MUCH?

$1000

DEADLINE?

Rolling—monthly grants offered.

FINE PRINT: Grants not given for studio space or strictly salary or supplies. Needs to make the community more “awesome.” Think public works.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant

The Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant was established as part of Lee Krasner’s legacy to strengthen and support the creative lives of artists. Since its start in 1985, the foundation has granted over 65 million dollars in award money to artists in over 77 countries.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Mid-career professional artists with demonstrable financial need.  Artists must be actively exhibiting their current work in professional artistic venues, such as gallery and museum spaces.

WHAT FIELD?

Painters, sculptors, and artists who work on paper, including printmaking.

HOW MUCH?

Awards range from $5,000 to $30,000, depending on need and circumstance.

DEADLINE?

Ongoing.

FINE PRINT: Commercial artists, video artists, performance artists, filmmakers, crafts-makers, and computer artists are not eligible. Students not eligible.

The Krishen Jit Fund

The Krishen Jit Fund was created by Five Arts Centre to encourage and support experimental creative work in Malaysia.  One of the main objectives of Krishen’s pioneering work was to celebrate original Malaysian art, across a range of disciplines, and in pursuit of innovative modes of expression and intervention.
