Kawamura Arts & Cultural Foundation Socially Engaged Art Support Grant

SOCIALLY ENGAGED ART SUPPORT GRANT will support Socially Engaged Art projects that will take place in Japan and commit to the community and society; implement activities together with communities and residents; and aim to build and demonstrate models of a better society. This would further enhance in-depth relationships between art culture and the society and will contribute in cultivating higher cultural developments in Japan. Grant Amount: Maximum of five million JPY *Grant will be paid in divided terms

MyCreative Ventures Pitchbox

MyCreative will invest via equities or loans from allocated funds in viable Malaysian creative businesses and is expected to achieve job creation,
increase GDP, elevate the status of Malaysia’s creative industry. Loans or Equities or combination of both. No Grants or Subsidies are available. Applicants shall demonstrate business acumen in delivering a five-year business plan that may include a slate of projects. The funding is up to RM5 million.

Guest Programme for young foreign theatre people (Germany)

Goethe-Institut, Munich (GI) and the Federal Republic of Germany Centre of the International Theatre Institute jointly conduct a Guest Programme for young foreign theatre people who have already acquired far reaching theatrical experience in their home country and who, in turn, bring their experience as multipliers of the domestic theatrical scene. During the guest visit, the grant recipient shall receive a monthly residence payment in the amount of € 780.

Emerging Artist Incubation Funding Programme

CENDANA is now inviting performing artists, visual artists and independent music artists to submit their application for its first Emerging Artist Incubation Funding Programme of up to RM 30,000 to support the creation, adaptation or re-development of your distinctive artistic content that engages audiences in Malaysia and abroad.

Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) Sponsorships

YSD offers sponsorships to deserving organisations that share our dedication towards the five pillars. Under its “Arts & Culture” pillar, Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) supports the development of a vibrant arts community in Malaysia’s multi-cultural society which includes projects and activities in the performing arts and traditional heritage preservation. YSD sponsors initiatives that encourage the arts and culture, develop the demand for the arts whilst empowering the industry with knowledge and skills that contribute to the richness of a cultural heritage that is uniquely Malaysian, and promote local arts and artistes towards achieving international recognition.

Australia-ASEAN Council Grants

The priority of the Special Australia-ASEAN Council grant round is to leverage the momentum of the Special Summit (16-18 March 2018) to generate increased enthusiasm and awareness about the ASEAN-Australia relationship. Activities to be funded could include academic or think-tank discussions and exchanges; community or public events; media programming; cultural events; and business or other networking events.

Goethe-Institut International Co-production Fund

International coproductions epitomize a form of artistic collaboration involving partnership and dialogue. With a view to encouraging new collaborative working processes and innovative productions involving international cultural exchange, the Goethe-Institut set up a new co-production fund in the summer of 2016 to promote new working networks and approaches within a global context and to explore new forms of intercultural collaboration.

Hasanah Special Grant 2024

Yayasan Hasanah’s (Hasanah) grants go towards Partner Organisations whose programmes are clearly aligned with our mandate, and which support any of the Focus Areas we invest in – Education; Community Development; Environment; Arts, Heritage & Culture; Knowledge; and Public Spaces.

JFKL Small Grant Programme

JFKL offers grants to support activities that promote, introduce and deepen understanding of Japan, as well as to support projects that encourage multilateral cultural exchange between ASEAN and Japan. Grants are awarded to projects than fall within the fields of arts, sports, social sciences and the humanities.

The grants cover the following: honorarium, per diem, transportation, accommodation, venue & equipment rental fees, printing & publicity, and other expenses as agreed by JFKL.
