We just recently attended “The Cammies” and what an amazing night it was. Themed the “roaring 20′s” the 9th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards night, held at the One world hotel, Petaling Jaya was a roaring success. The purpose of the 9th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards is to recognize the achievements in the performing arts. This year saw the introduction of new categories such as technical categories like lighting, set design and costume. These awards are aimed at boosting not just the awards but also the sustainability of the arts industry. The 9th Cammies saw nominees in the fields of dance, music, theatre and musical theatre competing for 26 awards and RM1,000 each. Four special awards, which were based on an online poll, were also given out during the ceremony.
